كشفت وسائل إعلام أمريكية اليوم (الأربعاء) عن توجيه الولايات المتحدة إنذاراً إلى إيران للتوصل إلى اتفاق نهائي.
ونقل موقع «أكسيوس» عن مسؤول أمريكي قوله إن «البيت الأبيض أوضح للإيرانيين أن الوقت ينفد»، مبيناً أن الإدارة الأمريكية تأمل أن تساعد ضربات (الثلاثاء) في دفع الإيرانيين إلى التحرك والاستجابة لمقترح ترمب.
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب قد قال في وقت سابق إنهم كانوا قريبين من التوصل إلى اتفاق مع طهران، لكن إيران تواصل المماطلة وتحاول استغفالهم، مضيفاً: «سنرى ما ستؤول إليه الأمور».
وأشار إلى أنه يريد «السلام للشرق الأوسط وللعالم بأسره»، مشدداً على أن الاتفاق الذي تسعى إدارته للتوصل إليه مع إيران يجب ألا يكون شبيهاً باتفاق 2015، الذي اعتبر أنه كان يتيح لإيران امتلاك سلاح نووي.
ولفت ترمب إلى أن الاتفاق الذي تعمل عليه إدارته «يقطع الطريق» على امتلاك إيران سلاحاً نووياً، مشدداً بالقول: «ينبغي على إيران أن توقع الاتفاق، فهو اتفاق جيد وذو مغزى».
في الوقت ذاته، قال وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس إن المعركة ضد إيران بعيدة عن نهايتها، مؤكداً أن إسرائيل مستعدة لمهاجمة إيران بقوة كبيرة، مضيفاً: «إذا هاجمت إيران إسرائيل فستتلقى ضربة قوية كما فعلنا قبل أيام».
وأكد كاتس رفضه للتهديدات الإيرانية قائلاً: «نرفض رفضاً قاطعاً تهديدات إيران ومحاولتها ربط الساحات».
في المقابل، قال المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية إسماعيل بقائي إن الجيش الأمريكي تعمد استهداف بنية تحتية مدنية حيوية للمياه في سيريك فجر اليوم، موضحاً أن الغارات الأمريكية استهدفت خزانات مياه بمدينة سيريك.
American media revealed today (Wednesday) that the United States has issued a warning to Iran to reach a final agreement.
The website “Axios” quoted an American official saying that “the White House made it clear to the Iranians that time is running out,” indicating that the U.S. administration hopes that the strikes on Tuesday will push the Iranians to act and respond to Trump’s proposal.
U.S. President Donald Trump had previously stated that they were close to reaching an agreement with Tehran, but Iran continues to procrastinate and tries to outsmart them, adding: “We will see how things turn out.”
He pointed out that he wants “peace for the Middle East and for the whole world,” emphasizing that the agreement his administration seeks to reach with Iran should not resemble the 2015 agreement, which he considered allowed Iran to possess nuclear weapons.
Trump noted that the agreement his administration is working on “cuts off the path” for Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, stressing: “Iran must sign the agreement; it is a good and meaningful agreement.”
At the same time, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that the battle against Iran is far from over, confirming that Israel is prepared to attack Iran with great force, adding: “If Iran attacks Israel, it will receive a strong blow as we did a few days ago.”
Katz affirmed his rejection of Iranian threats, saying: “We categorically reject Iran’s threats and its attempts to link the arenas.”
In contrast, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baqaei stated that the U.S. military deliberately targeted vital civilian water infrastructure in Sirik early this morning, explaining that the American raids targeted water tanks in the city of Sirik.
