The Lebanese artist Elissa revealed the name she chose for her new musical album, which is titled “Alisar,” her real name that she wanted to use to express different aspects of her personality and artistic journey, considering that presenting oneself honestly is the most important thing an artist can offer to their audience.
She unveiled the promotional poster for the work via her account on the “X” platform, where she appeared on the back of a horse near the sea, accompanied by a message in which she clarified that the name encompasses her story, identity, and stages of development, and is not just a choice related to her personal name.
The fourteenth album
The album represents the fourteenth release in Elissa’s career, and she had paved the way for it with a video message coinciding with her birthday celebration, during which she thanked her audience for their support and patience for her works, describing the project as a gift she wanted to share with them after a period of preparation.
A message about self-discovery
The promotional message included scenes of her inside a classic car wearing a red dress, alongside the appearance of a white horse, while her words focused on liberation from comparisons and pressures, and reconciling with oneself, emphasizing that true success begins when a person chooses to be themselves and surpasses who they were yesterday.
A Gulf experience for the first time
Elissa’s new album features a variety of musical styles, as she presents for the first time a song in the Gulf dialect titled “Shita Al-Riyadh,” alongside a collection of works in the Egyptian and Lebanese dialects.
The album includes four Lebanese songs, three of which are collaborations with the artist Marwan Khoury, who is responsible for writing and composing them, while the fourth song features lyrics by poet Suham Al-Sha’sha.
