أصدرت محكمة بحرينية اليوم (الإثنين) حكماً بالسجن ١٠ سنوات وغرامة مالية على ١٢ شخصاً متورطاً في قضايا إثارة الفوضى والعمل لصالح إيران في اعتداءاتها على مملكة البحرين.
وصرح رئيس نيابة الجرائم الإرهابية بأن المحكمة الكبرى الجنائية أصدرت أحكاماً في ١١ قضية تضمنت ارتكاب عدد من الأشخاص جرائم تأييد وتشجيع للاعتداءات الإيرانية الإرهابية على مملكة البحرين، والحصول على بيانات حيوية محظورة وإذاعتها، وتصوير أماكن محظور تصويرها، فضلًا عن نشر أخبار كاذبة وشائعات عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي خلال العدوان الإيراني الذي تعرضت له البحرين.
وأشار إلى أن المحكمة قضت بمعاقبة ١٢ متهماً بالسجن ١٠ سنوات، وتغريم بعضهم مبلغ ألفي دينار، إضافة إلى مصادرة المضبوطات.
وكانت النيابة العامة قد تلقت عدداً من البلاغات من إدارة مكافحة الجرائم الإلكترونية برصد حسابات على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي تضمنت صوراً ومقاطع مرئية وتعليقات تؤيد الاعتداءات الإيرانية الإرهابية على البحرين، ونشر بيانات حيوية وتصوير أماكن محظورة، إلى جانب نشر أخبار وشائعات كاذبة تهدف إلى الإضرار بالروح المعنوية للمجتمع البحريني وإثارة الفزع والإضرار بالأمن العام.
وأسفرت التحريات عن تحديد هوية المسؤولين عن تلك الحسابات، وباشرت النيابة العامة التحقيق فور تلقي البلاغات، واستجوبت المتهمين واستمعت إلى أقوال الشهود، وندبت الخبراء لفحص الأجهزة الإلكترونية المضبوطة التي أكدت ارتكاب المتهمين الوقائع المسندة إليهم.
وأمرت النيابة العامة بإحالة المتهمين إلى المحكمة الكبرى الجنائية، حيث نُظرت الدعاوى في عدة جلسات رُوعيت خلالها كافة الضمانات القانونية، بما في ذلك حضور محامي المتهمين وتمكينهم من الدفاع عن أنفسهم، إلى أن صدرت بحقهم الأحكام المذكورة.
A Bahraini court issued a 10-year prison sentence and a financial fine today (Monday) against 12 individuals involved in inciting chaos and working on behalf of Iran in its attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The head of the Terrorism Crimes Prosecution stated that the Grand Criminal Court issued rulings in 11 cases involving several individuals committing crimes of supporting and encouraging Iranian terrorist attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain, obtaining and broadcasting prohibited vital data, photographing restricted locations, as well as spreading false news and rumors through social media during the Iranian aggression that Bahrain faced.
He indicated that the court sentenced 12 defendants to 10 years in prison, and fined some of them an amount of 2,000 dinars, in addition to confiscating the seized items.
The Public Prosecution had received several reports from the Cyber Crime Department monitoring accounts on social media that included images, videos, and comments supporting the Iranian terrorist attacks on Bahrain, publishing vital data, and photographing prohibited locations, along with spreading false news and rumors aimed at harming the morale of the Bahraini community and causing panic and jeopardizing public security.
Investigations led to identifying the individuals responsible for those accounts, and the Public Prosecution began its investigation immediately upon receiving the reports, interrogating the defendants, listening to witness statements, and appointing experts to examine the seized electronic devices, which confirmed the defendants’ commission of the alleged acts.
The Public Prosecution ordered the referral of the defendants to the Grand Criminal Court, where the cases were reviewed in several sessions that adhered to all legal guarantees, including the presence of the defendants’ lawyers and enabling them to defend themselves, until the aforementioned rulings were issued against them.
