الكويت: حبس وزير الدفاع والداخلية السابق في قضية «المصروفات السرية» – أخبار السعودية – ن والقلم

أسدلت محكمة التمييز الجزائية في الكويت الستار على قضية اختلاس أموال وزارتي الدفاع والداخلية، المتعلقة بالمصروفات السرية، المتهم فيها وزير الداخلية والدفاع السابق الشيخ طلال الخالد، إضافة إلى متهم آخر من الجنسية المصرية.

وقضت المحكمة اليوم (الإثنين) بحبس الشيخ طلال الخالد لمدة 3 سنوات مع النفاذ، وتغريمه 3 آلاف دينار، كما أمرت بحبس المتهم الثاني في القضية لمدة 3 سنوات، مع إبعاده عن البلاد عقب تنفيذ العقوبة.

وفي تفاصيل الحكم، قضت المحكمة في قضية وزارة الدفاع بحبس الخالد 3 سنوات، وفي قضية وزارة الداخلية بالحبس 3 سنوات أخرى، مع تغريمه 3 آلاف دينار، على أن تُنفذ العقوبات على نحو متداخل وفق منطوق الحكم.

وكان الخالد قد سدد سابقًا مبلغًا يقارب نصف مليون دينار في القضية المرتبطة بوزارة الدفاع.

يُذكر أن محكمة التمييز كانت قد قضت في يناير الماضي بتمييز الحكم الصادر عن محكمة الوزراء، الذي كان قد انتهى إلى حبسه 14 سنة وتغريمه 10 ملايين دينار، إضافة إلى إلزامه برد نحو 20 مليون دينار.

The Court of Cassation in Kuwait has closed the case of embezzlement of funds from the Ministries of Defense and Interior, related to secret expenditures, in which the former Minister of Interior and Defense Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled is accused, along with another defendant of Egyptian nationality.

Today (Monday), the court sentenced Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled to 3 years in prison with immediate effect, and fined him 3,000 dinars. The court also ordered the second defendant in the case to be imprisoned for 3 years, with his expulsion from the country following the execution of the sentence.

In the details of the ruling, the court sentenced Al-Khaled to 3 years in prison in the case related to the Ministry of Defense, and an additional 3 years in the case related to the Ministry of Interior, along with a fine of 3,000 dinars, with the sentences to be served concurrently as per the ruling.

It is noted that Al-Khaled had previously paid an amount of nearly half a million dinars in the case related to the Ministry of Defense.

It is worth mentioning that the Court of Cassation had ruled last January to overturn the sentence issued by the Cabinet Ministers’ Court, which had resulted in a 14-year prison sentence and a fine of 10 million dinars, in addition to obligating him to repay about 20 million dinars.
