أعلن نائب الرئيس الأمريكي جي دي فانس اليوم (الإثنين) أن الاتفاق مع إيران وُقّع إلكترونياً (الأحد)، مؤكداً أن واشنطن لن تفرج عن الأموال الإيرانية المجمدة قبل التزام طهران بما تم الاتفاق عليه.
وألمح فانس في مقابلة مع شبكة «أي بي سي نيوز» إلى أن بعض بنود الاتفاق أصبحت سارية، مشدداً على أن «وقعنا بالفعل الاتفاق إلكترونياً (الأحد)، ولم يتم الإفراج عن أي أموال، ولن يتغير ذلك»، معرباً عن أمله في نشر نص اتفاق وقف الحرب مع إيران وإعادة فتح مضيق هرمز خلال الأسبوع الحالي.
وأشار إلى أن المفاوضات مستمرة بشأن تفاصيل الاتفاق، مضيفاً: «إذا لم يضطلعوا بما هو مطلوب، وإذا لم يسمحوا بسريان نظام التحقق، فلن يحصلوا أبداً على الأموال اللازمة لإعادة بناء برنامجهم النووي».
وذكر فانس أن رئيس البرلمان محمد باقر قاليباف ووزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي سيمثلان طهران في مراسم التوقيع المقررة في سويسرا (الجمعة)، مشيراً إلى أن كثيراً من التفاصيل لا تزال قيد الإعداد.
وقال نائب الرئيس الأمريكي إن واشنطن تتوقع إعادة فتح مضيق هرمز دون رسوم على المدى الطويل، مشيراً إلى أن تفاصيل هذا الترتيب ستُبحث خلال المفاوضات الفنية القادمة.
وكان فانس قد قال في وقت سابق اليوم: «هناك الكثير من التفاصيل المهمة التي يتعين بحثها، وسنجلس معاً إلى طاولة المفاوضات لمناقشتها وتحديد مسار للمضي قدماً».
وأعلنت الولايات المتحدة وإيران أمس التوصل إلى اتفاق لإنهاء الحرب وإعادة فتح مضيق هرمز. وذكر المتحدث باسم الخارجية الإيرانية إسماعيل بقائي أن الولايات المتحدة ستلتزم بمنح إيران حق الوصول إلى أموالها المجمدة، ولن تقدم أي أموال لطهران بموجب مذكرة التفاهم.
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance announced today (Monday) that the agreement with Iran was signed electronically (Sunday), confirming that Washington will not release the frozen Iranian funds until Tehran commits to what has been agreed upon.
Vance hinted in an interview with ABC News that some provisions of the agreement are already in effect, emphasizing that “we have indeed signed the agreement electronically (Sunday), no funds have been released, and that will not change,” expressing hope to publish the text of the ceasefire agreement with Iran and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz within this week.
He noted that negotiations are ongoing regarding the details of the agreement, adding: “If they do not fulfill what is required, and if they do not allow the verification system to be implemented, they will never receive the funds necessary to rebuild their nuclear program.”
Vance mentioned that Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will represent Tehran at the signing ceremony scheduled in Switzerland (Friday), pointing out that many details are still being prepared.
The U.S. Vice President stated that Washington expects the Strait of Hormuz to be reopened without fees in the long term, noting that the details of this arrangement will be discussed during the upcoming technical negotiations.
Earlier today, Vance said: “There are many important details that need to be discussed, and we will sit together at the negotiating table to discuss them and determine a path forward.”
The United States and Iran announced yesterday that they had reached an agreement to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baqaei stated that the United States will commit to granting Iran access to its frozen funds and will not provide any funds to Tehran under the memorandum of understanding.
