جُرّد الملاكم الأمريكي براندون فيغيروا من لقب وزن الريشة في رابطة الملاكمة العالمية، بعد تجاوزه الوزن المسموح به البالغ 126 رطلاً بمقدار 1.4 رطل، قبل نزاله المقرر اليوم أمام الياباني توموكي كاميدا في مدينة لاس فيجاس الأمريكية.
وأوضح منظمو النزال أن الملاكم الياباني كاميدا (35 عاماً) سيتمكن من إحراز اللقب الشاغر في حال فوزه بالمواجهة، فيما سيبقى اللقب شاغراً في حال فوز فيغيروا.
وكان فيغيروا (29 عاماً) قد تُوّج بلقب وزن الريشة في فبراير الماضي، عقب فوزه على الملاكم البريطاني نيك بول في مدينة ليفربول الإنجليزية.
The American boxer Brandon Figueroa has been stripped of the featherweight title by the World Boxing Association after exceeding the allowed weight of 126 pounds by 1.4 pounds, ahead of his scheduled fight today against Japanese boxer Tomoki Kameda in Las Vegas, USA.
Organizers of the match clarified that the Japanese boxer Kameda (35 years old) will be able to claim the vacant title if he wins the bout, while the title will remain vacant if Figueroa wins.
Figueroa (29 years old) was crowned the featherweight champion last February after defeating British boxer Nick Ball in Liverpool, England.
