أكد الفنان والمنتج حسن عسيري، أن «فكرة مسلسل «حفرة جهنم» جاءت انطلاقاً من إيماننا كمواطنين بأهمية إزالة الأحياء العشوائية»، معتبراً أن هذه الخطوة أسهمت في منح مدينة جدة مساحة جديدة «لتتنفس» وتستعيد مكانتها «عروساً للبحر الأحمر».
وأوضح عسيري، أن العمل الدرامي يسعى إلى تسليط الضوء على الواقع الذي كانت تشهده بعض الأحياء العشوائية قبل إزالتها، قائلاً: «كان يهمنا أن يعرف الناس ماذا كان يحدث في تلك الأحياء، وما الذي كانت تحتويه من تفاصيل وقصص مؤلمة وقاسية».
وأشار إلى أن أحداث المسلسل تدور زمنياً قبل 2015، مؤكداً أن قرار الدولة بإزالة العشوائيات كان «قراراً سليماً وجميلاً»، لما يحمله من أبعاد تطويرية وتنظيمية تصب في صالح المدينة وسكانها.
وبيّن عسيري، أن تصوير مسلسل «حفرة جهنم» تم بالكامل في مدينة جدة، موضحاً أن فريق العمل انتهى من التصوير قبل نحو ستة أشهر، وجرى تنفيذ مواقع تصوير مشابهة للأحياء القديمة من خلال بناء ديكورات خاصة تحاكي البيئة الحقيقية لتلك المناطق.
وأضاف، أن المسلسل يضم نخبة من الأسماء اللامعة والنجوم أصحاب الحضور الجماهيري الكبير في الوسط الفني، ما يمنح العمل ثقلاً فنياً ويعزز من حضوره المرتقب لدى الجمهور.
The artist and producer Hassan Asiri confirmed that “the idea for the series ‘Hell’s Pit’ came from our belief as citizens in the importance of removing slums,” considering that this step contributed to giving the city of Jeddah a new space to “breathe” and regain its status as “the bride of the Red Sea.”
Asiri explained that the dramatic work aims to shed light on the reality that some slum areas were experiencing before their removal, stating: “We wanted people to know what was happening in those neighborhoods and what painful and harsh details and stories they contained.”
He pointed out that the events of the series take place before 2015, emphasizing that the state’s decision to remove slums was “a sound and beautiful decision,” due to its developmental and organizational dimensions that benefit the city and its residents.
Asiri indicated that the filming of the series “Hell’s Pit” was entirely done in the city of Jeddah, explaining that the crew completed filming about six months ago, and filming locations similar to the old neighborhoods were created by building special sets that mimic the real environment of those areas.
He added that the series includes a selection of prominent names and stars with a significant public presence in the artistic community, which gives the work artistic weight and enhances its anticipated presence among the audience.
