صدرت الموافقة الكريمة من خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، على إضافة قسم للإناث في مسابقة الملك عبدالعزيز الدولية لحفظ القرآن الكريم وتلاوته وتفسيره في دورتها الـ46، وذلك بناءً على ما رفعه وزير الشؤون الإسلامية والدعوة والإرشاد والمشرف العام على المسابقات القرآنية الشيخ الدكتور عبداللطيف بن عبدالعزيز آل الشيخ.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة التطويرية النوعية لتعزيز شمولية المسابقة التي تُنظمها وزارة الشؤون الإسلامية تحت رعاية خادم الحرمين الشريفين في رحاب المسجد الحرام، وتمتد رسالتها العالمية لتشمل البنين والبنات منذ تأسيسها 1399هـ. كما تضمّنت الموافقة إقامة الحفل الختامي للمسابقة بتاريخ 6/ 3/ 1448هـ. وبهذه المناسبة، رفع وزير الشؤون الإسلامية شكره لخادم الحرمين الشريفين، ولولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء على عنايتهما الدائمة بكل ما يخدم القرآن الكريم وينشر علومه، مؤكداً أن إضافة قسم للإناث في المسابقة العالمية التي تحمل اسم الملك عبدالعزيز بن عبدالرحمن – طيب الله ثراه – تعكس اهتمام القيادة بكتاب الله، وإيمانها بالدور المحوري للمرأة بوصفها ركيزة أساسية في بناء المجتمع، وحرصها على ربط الناشئة من الجنسين بالقرآن الكريم وتشجيعهم على حفظه وتدبره.
وأشار آل الشيخ، إلى أن الوزارة باشرت فور صدور الموافقة باتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة لتنفيذها واعتماد الترتيبات التنظيمية للدورة الحالية، بما يضمن أعلى معايير الجودة والتنظيم، سائلاً المولى – عزّ وجل – أن يجزي القيادة خير الجزاء على دعمها المتواصل لخدمة كتاب الله تعالى تعليمًا وطباعةً ونشرًا وتشجيعًا لأبناء وبنات المسلمين على الإقبال عليه.
The gracious approval has been issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, to add a female section in the King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran in its 46th edition. This decision was based on what was submitted by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, and the General Supervisor of Quranic Competitions, Sheikh Dr. Abdulatif bin Abdulaziz Al Sheikh.
This developmental step aims to enhance the inclusivity of the competition organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the sacred precincts of the Grand Mosque. Its global message has included both boys and girls since its establishment in 1399 AH. The approval also included holding the final ceremony of the competition on 6/3/1448 AH. On this occasion, the Minister of Islamic Affairs expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and to the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, for their constant care for everything that serves the Holy Quran and spreads its sciences. He emphasized that the addition of a female section in the international competition named after King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman – may Allah have mercy on him – reflects the leadership’s interest in the Book of Allah and its belief in the pivotal role of women as a fundamental pillar in building society, as well as its commitment to connecting the youth of both genders with the Holy Quran and encouraging them to memorize and contemplate it.
Al Sheikh pointed out that the ministry has immediately begun taking the necessary steps to implement this approval and to adopt the organizational arrangements for the current edition, ensuring the highest standards of quality and organization. He asked the Almighty – may He be exalted – to reward the leadership abundantly for its continuous support in serving the Book of Allah, in teaching, printing, publishing, and encouraging Muslim boys and girls to engage with it.
