أكد الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم البديوي أن مجلس التعاون شكّل منذ تأسيسه نموذجاً رائداً وصرحاً شامخاً يجسد عمق الروابط الأخوية ووحدة المصير، واستطاع بفضل الله ثم بدعم وتوجيهات قادته أن يحقق إنجازاتٍ إستراتيجيةً كبرى في مختلف المجالات السياسية والاقتصادية والأمنية والعسكرية، وأن يعزز مكانته الإقليمية والدولية شريكاً موثوقاً فيه للشراكات الدولية ولترسيخ الأمن والاستقرار، ودعم التنمية المستدامة.
وقال في كلمة بمناسبة الذكرى الـ45 لتأسيس مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية: «نقف بكل فخر واعتزاز أمام مسيرةٍ مباركةٍ حافلةٍ بالعطاء والإنجازات، نستذكر فيها الرؤية الحكيمة والنهج السديد الذي أرسى دعائمه القادة المؤسسون لمجلس التعاون قبل 45 عاماً، حيث جعلوا من هذا الكيان المبارك نموذجاً رائداً، ومنارةً للوحدة والتكامل والتضامن بين دوله وشعوبه».
وأضاف: «على الرغم مما تتعرض له منطقتنا من أحداث وتطورات غير مسبوقة أدت إلى انعكاسات خطيرة على العالم أجمع، إلا أننا نؤكد بكل ثقة أن مسيرة مجلس التعاون بما تحمله من إرثٍ عظيمٍ وإنجازاتٍ راسخة، ستواصل تقدمها نحو آفاقٍ أرحب من التكامل والازدهار، مستندةً إلى توجيهات القادة ووحدة الصف الخليجي، ورسوخ الإرادة، وطموحات شعوب الخليج نحو مستقبلٍ أكثر إشراقاً وأمناً واستقراراً».
وأشار البديوي إلى ما تشهده مسيرة مجلس التعاون المباركة من إنجازات راسخة، وما تنعم به دول الخليج من أمن واستقرار وتنمية وازدهار يجسد عمق الروابط الأخوية ووحدة المصير التي تجمع شعوب دول المجلس، الأمر الذي يضاعف المسؤوليات تجاه الحفاظ على هذه المكتسبات والبناء عليها. ومن هذا المنطلق، فإن الواجب يحتّم مواصلة ترسيخ الوحدة الخليجية وتعزيز التكامل والتكاتف؛ لمواجهة مختلف التحديات والمتغيرات، ومواكبة تطلعات المستقبل، للحفاظ على المكتسبات الخليجية القيمة.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Al-Budaiwi, affirmed that the Council has formed, since its establishment, a pioneering model and a towering edifice that embodies the depth of brotherly ties and unity of destiny. Thanks to God and then the support and guidance of its leaders, it has achieved major strategic accomplishments in various political, economic, security, and military fields, and has enhanced its regional and international standing as a reliable partner in international partnerships and in establishing security and stability, and supporting sustainable development.
In a speech on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the Gulf Cooperation Council, he said: “We stand with great pride and honor before a blessed journey full of giving and achievements, recalling the wise vision and sound approach laid down by the founding leaders of the Council 45 years ago, who made this blessed entity a pioneering model and a beacon of unity, integration, and solidarity among its countries and peoples.”
He added: “Despite the unprecedented events and developments our region is facing, which have led to serious repercussions on the entire world, we confidently affirm that the journey of the Cooperation Council, with its great legacy and solid achievements, will continue to advance towards broader horizons of integration and prosperity, based on the guidance of the leaders, the unity of the Gulf front, steadfast will, and the aspirations of the Gulf peoples towards a brighter, safer, and more stable future.”
Al-Budaiwi pointed to the solid achievements witnessed by the blessed journey of the Cooperation Council, and the security, stability, development, and prosperity enjoyed by the Gulf countries, which embody the depth of brotherly ties and unity of destiny that bind the peoples of the member states. This amplifies the responsibilities to preserve these gains and build upon them. From this standpoint, it is imperative to continue to strengthen Gulf unity and enhance integration and solidarity to face various challenges and changes, and to keep pace with future aspirations, in order to preserve the valuable Gulf achievements.
