The 10,132 regulatory control campaigns carried out by the Saudi Engineers Authority from January 1 to last September resulted in the discovery of a number of engineering violations in several cities. The violations centered around not mentioning the name of the professionally accredited individual, their degree, and their accreditation number on the works, not adhering to the licensed engineering professions, practicing engineering work after the license had expired, opening a branch without obtaining the Authority’s approval, and practicing any of the engineering professions without obtaining professional accreditation. The regulatory campaigns aimed to protect the profession and ensure compliance with the engineering professions practice system in Saudi Arabia. The Authority reported that the inspection rounds covered more than 150 cities and governorates, with the oversight and inspection activities spanning 13 administrative regions.
